WMU Leader Training
Woodridge Baptist Church, Shreveport, will host a Day with the M.E.T.S. on August 19, 2006. The one-day training session will feature a Mission Education Training Specialist (M.E.T.S.). The event will feature breakout sessions designed to equip participants with the necessary tools to effectively lead WMU organizations in their church and association.
Breakout sessions will be offered for workers in preschool, children, youth, adult, WMU directors, and ministry leaders. Lunch will feature testimonies from International Mission Board and North American Mission Board missionaries.
The event will correlate with the unveiling of this year's Georgia Barnette Offering for State Missions promotional material.
Registration opens at 9 a.m., with the program beginning at 9:30 a.m. The event will end by 1 p.m. Registration fee is $5 and includes workshop materials and lunch. All participants must register by July 28.
