TRANSITIONAL LIVING

OUR JOURNEY...

In 2016, a vision was cast to open a facility that would help individuals and families who were displaced for various reasons such as:
  • Fire
  • Flood
  • Loss of job
  • Transitioning or relocating

In 2017, renovations began on a two story educational building on the campus of Western Hills Baptist Church, Shreveport, Louisiana, that would later become Masada Transitional Living. In 2020, renovations were completed on the very first transitional living facility of the Northwest Louisiana Baptist Association. 

OUR FACILITY...

Features of the Masada Transitional Living Center include:
  • 10,000 square feet of living space
  • Houses 9 men, 8 women,3 families
  • On site manager
  • Large dining area
  • On site washers and dryers
  • Near Pines Road bus stop
  • Some meals provided
  • No pets allowed

Individuals or families can have peace of mind knowing they are living in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. If an individual or family member is not employed when they first arrive, their first month will be free. After the first month, there will be a reasonable weekly rate. Tenants will also have peace of mind knowing they will be able to stay for up to one year on their journey back to independent living.
